The Disney Blog – November 2007

Nov. 9^th – Friday: We flew out of Logan in the evening via Jet Blue  and arrived on time at Orlando Airport without any problems. We took the Disney Magical Express from the airport to Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort (CBR), checked in, and were in our room by midnight. The two packages from home (clothes & HBA’s) were delivered to our room within 10 minutes of arrival, as were the groceries that we had ordered from home. With the travel & setup logistics out of the way, we were ready for 8 days of parks & attractions!

Connor says: “The airplane ride was great because I had my own TV. Orlando Airport was very great.

Nov. 10^th – Saturday:  We didn't exactly sleep in after arriving late Friday night, but at least we weren't in a rush to get to the park. We spent a casual day at  Disney's MGM Studios. With a little luck, a lot of earnestness, and a wiggle to the front row, Connor was chosen to participate in a Jedi training session first thing in the morning. He had a blast working on his light saber moves and then testing them against Darth Vader himself!  Don, Connor & Maeve hit the Star Tours ride afterwards, then we all had an outdoors lunch at Pizza Planet. After lunch, we all went on the Great Movie ride. While Caeley napped with Don, Erin took Connor & Maeve back on Star Tours and then to the Muppets show. We managed to get Buzz & Woody's autograph afterwards. We then enjoyed dinner at Mama Melrose's. The Spectacle of Dancing Lights display was already illuminated when we got out of dinner & it was pretty impressive - wouldn't want to pay that electric bill. Don, Connor & Maeve hit Star Tours one more time, followed by another family trip on the Great Movie ride. Finally, we closed the night with Don & Connor riding Aerosmith's Rock'N'Roller Coaster !!

Connor says: “I got to go on 2 new rides - rock and roller coaster and the great movie ride. I really liked Jedi training because I got to battle Darth Vader with a light saber.”

Nov. 11^th – Sunday:  Magic Kingdom

dumbo all, pooh all, peter pan all, snow white all, carousel all, tea cups ecm, alice auto, train, big thunder dcm ecm, pirates all, pooh lunch, hook auto, peter pan auto, splash dcm, jungle cruise all, pirate show

Connor says: “It was cool because I got some neat pirates treasure at magic kingdom. My favorite rides were the jungle cruise and the pirates of caribbean ride and show.”

Nov. 12^th – Monday: Epcot

living with the land all, nemo all, figment all, maelstrom dcm, princess lunch, snow white/dopey auto, soarin dcm ecm

Connor says: “At Epcot, my favorite ride was Soarin. I really liked picking out a pair of Pirate Mickey ears.”

Nov. 13^th – Tuesday: Animal Kingdom

Everest dc ec, cali dcm dcm, dinosaur dcm ecm, triceratops ecmc, everest dc ec dc, lion king show, mickey's bbq

Connor says: “Expedition Everest roller coaster is the best ride at animal kingdom - I rode it 5 times.”

Nov. 14^th – Wednesday:

coral reef lunch, test track dcm ecm, mission space dc, soarin dcm ecm

Connor says: “I won the robot build and race competition at Epcot. His name was Dangerous Bruiser.Test track was so fun and mission space was cool.”

Nov. 15^th – Thursday: MGM

tower of terror dc, voyage little mermaid emc, playhouse disney emc, power rangers auto, breakfast with playhouse disney, tower of terror ecm

Magic Kingdom : stitch dcm, buzz all, space mountain dc, mickey xmas show, haunted mansion all, small world all, dumbo all, carousel all, philharmagic all, fireworks, haunted mansion dc, parade, big thunde dcm ecm

Connor says: “The tower of terror was so scary but fun. big thunder mountain was so cool in the dark. I never noticed the collapsing mine. I got to go on Space Mountain this time as well.”

Nov. 16^th – Friday:

Downtown Disney: Shopping – make your own lightsaber, clothes & pins, fill a potato head, face painting

Connor says: “I got my face painted as a pirate and I built my own light saber with a purple blade.”

Nov. 17^th – Saturday:
